Is this really free? What's the catch? +
The trial is fully functional and genuinely free. The build expires roughly 6 weeks after release, at which point you'll need to download the next build (we'll email it) or upgrade to SnapToFile Pro when it launches. The purpose is to get real feedback from real field pros before we charge anyone.
Where are my photos and reports stored? +
On your device. SnapToFile is a single HTML file that runs in your browser — there's no server, no cloud account, no transmission. When you save a project, it downloads as a .stf file to your Downloads folder (or wherever you choose). Your data literally never leaves your computer.
Does it work on my iPhone / Android / iPad? +
Yes. Any device with a modern browser — Safari, Chrome, Firefox, Edge. Works offline once the HTML file is saved. The camera button opens your rear camera directly. Touch-friendly throughout.
What happens when the trial expires? +
The app will show an expiration screen and stop loading. Your existing .stf project files are unaffected — they're yours, forever. You'll have two options: download the next free trial build (we'll email when it's ready), or upgrade to SnapToFile Pro for a permanent unlock.
Can I use this for insurance carrier submissions? +
Yes. The PDF output is formatted with a proper cover page, claim info, and 2-up photo pages — readable by any carrier. Xactimate / Symbility integration is on our roadmap for the paid product; today, the PDF handoff is the recommended workflow.
Will my email get spammed? +
No. You'll get the download email, and then only when new builds ship or major features land — maybe once a month at peak. One-click unsubscribe, always. Your email is not sold, shared, or used for anything else.
