01Acceptance
These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the website at snaptofile.com and the SnapToFile report generator (the downloadable HTML application). By using either, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use them.
02What SnapToFile is
SnapToFile is a single HTML file that runs in your browser. You download it, open it, and use it to build professional photo inspection reports on your own device.
SnapToFile is currently in an early-access phase. Features change build to build, and bugs happen. If something breaks, tell us: hello@snaptofile.com.
03License to use
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use SnapToFile for your own field work — including commercial work like claims inspections, roof reports, property documentation, and similar.
You may:
- Save the HTML file locally and run it offline.
- Keep backup copies of the file.
- Produce unlimited reports and PDFs with it for your own business use.
You may not:
- Resell, sublicense, or redistribute the HTML file or its code as your own product.
- Remove, modify, or obscure SnapToFile branding on exported reports except where the product is designed to allow it (e.g. your own company header on the cover page).
- Reverse-engineer the product to build a competing service.
- Use the product for anything unlawful, fraudulent, or harmful.
04Your data, your files
You own every photo, report, .stf file, and PDF you create with SnapToFile. The app runs on your device. We have no access to your files and do not want any.
Back up your files. The app cannot restore what you did not save, and we cannot help you recover a .stf file we have never seen.
05No warranty
SnapToFile is provided "as is" and "as available." We make no warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the product will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or suitable for any specific legal, insurance, or regulatory purpose.
You are responsible for reviewing every report and every PDF before you deliver it to a carrier, homeowner, adjuster, or other recipient.
06Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, SnapToFile and its operator are not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages arising from or relating to your use of the product — including lost claims, lost revenue, lost profits, lost data, or disputes with third parties — even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages. In those jurisdictions, the exclusions and limitations above apply only to the extent permitted by law.
07Privacy
Our collection and use of personal data is described in our Privacy Notice. In short: your photos and reports never leave your device, and the only personal data we ever receive is the email address you give us when you sign up for the trial.
08Intellectual property
The SnapToFile name, logo, website design, and source code are the property of SnapToFile. The HTML application is licensed to you for use as described in Section 3 — not transferred to you as property.
Anything you create with SnapToFile — photos, annotations, reports, PDFs — belongs to you.
09Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as the product changes. Meaningful updates will be announced by email to current subscribers before they take effect. Continued use of the website or the app after an update means you accept the updated Terms.
10Termination
You may stop using SnapToFile at any time by deleting the HTML file and unsubscribing from our emails. We may suspend or terminate the license granted in Section 3 if you breach these Terms or use the product unlawfully.
Sections 5, 6, 8, and 11 survive termination.
11Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of South Dakota, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms or the use of SnapToFile will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in South Dakota, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.
