This notice describes how SnapToFile collects, uses, and protects personal data in connection with the marketing website at snaptofile.com and the SnapToFile report generator (the HTML file you download and run on your device).

02What the app collects
Nothing. The SnapToFile report generator is a single HTML file that runs entirely in your browser. Your photos, annotations, company logo, client addresses, claim numbers, and exported PDFs never touch our servers. There is no login, no cloud sync, and no telemetry.
When you save a .stf file or export a PDF, those files go to your device's storage. We never see them.
03What the website collects
- Your email address, if you submit the trial signup form. That's it.
- Kit (our email service — kit.com) stores your email, subscription status, and the cohort tag you signed up under. Kit also handles unsubscribes.
- Vercel (our host) keeps standard server access logs — IP address, browser type, timestamp, requested URL — on a short retention window. We don't read them or connect them to individuals.
- We do not currently run analytics. If we add a privacy-respecting analytics tool in the future, we'll update this notice before it goes live.
04Why we collect it
- To send you the trial download link after you ask for it.
- To occasionally let you know about product updates, new builds, or changes that affect you.
We will never use your email for anything you didn't sign up for.
05Who we share it with
- Kit — to deliver the emails you signed up to receive.
- Vercel — to host the website.
- Nobody else. We do not sell, rent, or trade your email address. We do not share it with advertisers. We do not use it to build a marketing profile.
06How long we keep it
Your email stays in Kit until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it. Every email we send includes a one-click unsubscribe link at the bottom.
Vercel's server logs rotate automatically on their standard retention schedule.
07Cookies
We do not set marketing or tracking cookies. Kit and Vercel may set a small number of functional cookies (session, CSRF, and similar) that are strictly required for their services to work.
08Your rights
- Unsubscribe — click the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any email from us.
- Deletion — email hello@snaptofile.com and ask us to remove your data. We'll confirm in writing.
- Export — ask us for a copy of what Kit has on file for your email. We'll reply within 30 days.
If you are in a jurisdiction with additional privacy rights (EU/UK GDPR, California CCPA, etc.), you may also have rights to correction, restriction, portability, and objection. Contact us to exercise any of them.
09Children
SnapToFile is a professional tool. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child has submitted information to us, contact us and we'll delete it.
10Changes to this notice
If we update this notice, we'll change the dates at the top. Meaningful changes will also go out as an email broadcast so current subscribers hear about them directly.
